TITLE: Clerical Position - LHS Student Services
40 Hours per Week | $13.00 per Hour
JOB GOAL:
To provide clerical, organizational, and student support services that assist with the daily operations of the Student Services Office while building positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to follow school procedures and maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity with general office procedures, including typing, filing, data entry, and recordkeeping
  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple software systems, including Skyward
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced school environment

REPORTS TO: Building Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answer phones and direct calls appropriately
  • Learn and utilize the Skyward Student Management System for multiple office functions
  • Process and maintain community service records
  • Maintain work ethic certificate records
  • Process dance endorsement forms and passes
  • Maintain extracurricular rosters in Skyward
  • Organize and maintain field trip paperwork and records
  • Serve as a primary support resource for student needs within the Student Services Office
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records and files
  • Supervise and monitor non-compliant students removed from class as directed
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
  • Provide back-up assistance for the school nurse as needed
  • Assist with facilitating school tours and welcoming visitors
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the administration

CLASSIFICATION: This position is classified as a part-time position and is subject to the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the Board of School Trustees. Pay is hourly based on the clerical schedule.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions.
  • Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • This type of work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve running, walking or standing for brief periods.
  • Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far visual acuity, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business related equipment, and handling and working with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.
