Position Summary...Walmart Connect is seeking an experienced Senior Partner, Independent Agency Partnerships to drive strategic growth and adoption across a portfolio of high-potential Independent Agencies. This individual contributor role will serve as a senior business development leader responsible for cultivating executive-level relationships, accelerating revenue growth, and positioning Walmart Connect (WMC) as a long-term strategic partner within the Independent Agency ecosystem.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, action-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently navigate complex organizations, influence C-suite stakeholders, and unlock incremental growth opportunities. This role requires deep expertise in retail media and digital advertising, along with the ability to build trusted partnerships that drive long-term business impact. Experience with and deep relationships across Independent Agencies is a plus.
You will directly manage and grow a book of business consisting of complex Independent Agencies with significant growth potential. Working collaboratively across Sales, Product, Marketing, Measurement, Solutions Architecture, Operations, and Enablement teams, you will identify new opportunities, remove barriers to growth, and develop scalable solutions that accelerate agency and advertiser success.What you'll do...Drive Agency Growth & Strategic Partnerships
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans across a portfolio of Independent Agencies to increase adoption, platform utilization, and share of wallet
  • Identify high-potential growth opportunities across agencies, verticals, and advertisers to accelerate revenue and long-term partnership value
  • Lead enterprise-level business development efforts that drive incremental investment and multi-year growth opportunities
  • Build and strengthen relationships with agency executives, owners, media directors, and key decision makers
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to agency leadership teams through consultative guidance, business insights, and thought leadership
  • Cultivate new advertiser relationships within agency networks that are not currently aligned to Walmart Connect sales teams
Drive Education, Enablement & Adoption
  • Develop scalable education and enablement programs including workshops, webinars, playbooks, and self-service learning modules
  • Deliver thought leadership and training sessions to educate agencies on Walmart Connect capabilities, best practices, measurement solutions, and emerging opportunities
  • Translate complex retail media, data, and measurement concepts into actionable guidance that improves campaign performance and drives adoption
  • Partner with Sales Enablement, Product Marketing, Solutions Architects, and Operations teams to ensure agencies have the tools and support needed to scale successfully
Collaborate Cross-Functionally to Unlock Growth
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Measurement, Operations, and Analytics teams to identify and execute strategic opportunities
  • Share agency feedback and market insights to help influence product enhancements, roadmap prioritization, and go-to-market strategies
  • Provide consultative support to Walmart Connect sales and account management teams whose clients work with Independent Agencies
  • Advocate internally for agency needs and opportunities through data-driven insights and strategic analysis
Lead Operational Excellence
  • Manage the day-to-day operational needs of the agency business while maintaining focus on long-term strategic growth
  • Track and analyze key financial, adoption, and partnership metrics to measure success and inform decision making
  • Create scalable processes and solutions that improve efficiency and accelerate growth across multiple agencies and client types
  • Document and showcase innovative agency use cases and success stories across Walmart Connect
  • Represent Walmart Connect at industry events and within the broader Independent Agency community
What You’ll Bring...
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, sales, or account leadership within digital advertising, retail media, or agency environments
  • Proven success managing and growing complex business relationships while driving measurable revenue outcomes
  • Deep expertise in retail media, programmatic, social, and CTV advertising ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of Walmart Connect solutions, advertising platforms, and measurement capabilities preferred
  • Experience building and managing executive-level and C-suite relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead initiatives at scale
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences and agencies
  • Experience working with Independent Agencies and established industry relationships strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate autonomously, navigate ambiguity, and create opportunities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Self-starter mindset with strong ownership, initiative, and bias for action
