The MS in Global Medical Sciences is a new and innovative Master of Science program led by Elahe Nezami, who is seeking a highly motivated MD or PhD to assist in multiple aspects of curriculum development and program implementation. This part-time (50% FTE) role is ideal for a candidate with a background in clinical education, global health, and a working familiarity with AI tools in education.

The incumbent will work directly under the supervision of the Program Director to help organize and support core course development, coordinate faculty contributions, support the integration of AI tools for assessment and customization, and assist in the development and execution of a global study component.

Responsibilities:

1. Course Content Organization & Faculty Support (60%)

  • Work under the direction of the Program Director to support the development of three core courses featuring weekly lectures from leading physicians and clinicians.
  • Help coordinate and organize weekly content contributions from faculty who may have limited availability or online teaching experience.
  • Assist in shaping clinically rich content into pedagogically sound, accessible materials for online delivery.
  • Provide lectures.
  • Serve as a support liaison between the Program Director and faculty contributors.

2. AI Integration in Assessment and Course Customization (20%)

  • Collaborate with the Program Director in identifying opportunities to incorporate AI tools into assessments, adaptive learning, and personalized course experiences.
  • Provide assistance in piloting and evaluating AI-driven tools and workflows that enhance learning outcomes.

3. Administrative and Strategic Support (20%)

  • Support the Program Director in strategic planning, curriculum alignment, and documentation.
  • Assist with tracking progress on deliverables and maintaining communication across faculty and collaborators.
  • Participate in relevant planning meetings and program development activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • MD or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., clinical medicine, health sciences).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting curriculum or program development in a higher education or clinical training setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage details and follow through on multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with AI applications in education is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take direction in a fast-paced, start-up academic environment.

Appointment Details:

  • 50% - 75% FTE (Part-Time)
  • 1-year appointment with potential for renewal based on program needs and performance
  • Flexible schedule with remote work possible
  • Reports directly to the Program Director
