IT Technician (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Southern Alabama Regional Council on Aging (SARCOA) is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable IT Technician to join our team in Dothan, Alabama.

At SARCOA, our mission is to improve the lives of senior adults, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers throughout our seven-county service area. We are looking for a motivated IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting end users, and helping maintain a reliable technology environment that keeps our organization running smoothly.

This office-based position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative, mission-driven organization.

What You'll Do:

  1. Plan, install, configure, and maintain IT telecommunications systems and equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
  3. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty equipment as needed.
  4. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of IT systems.
  5. Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement solutions and enhancements.
  6. Document processes, procedures, and configurations for reference and training purposes.
  7. Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in IT telecommunications.
  8. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as required.
  9. Maintain inventory of tech devices for all staff.

What We're Looking For:

Required

  1. Minimum of two (2) years of IT or related technical experience.
  2. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
  3. Experience supporting Windows-based environments, network administration, and telecommunications systems.
  4. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 1. Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 2.ย Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or equivalent.ย
