Athletic Republic in Moosic and Dallas, PA, are looking for a part-time Sports Performance Coach!

We also work on the functional movement skills that will allow them to improve their game-day/race-day performance. Most importantly, we keep them in the game by reducing the risk of injury, and instilling confidence that allows the athlete to push beyond comfort, to courageously challenge fear, and to be resilient in overcoming adversity. …so they may achieve their goals!

Position Details:

  • Part-time Sports Performance Coaches at Athletic Republic – at Moosic and Dallas, PA Centers. Employee will be expected to split time between both locations as needed.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of performance training protocols.
  • Assist in the development of strength and conditioning programs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Athletic Republic's specific Return to Play protocols. (Experience working with athletes post ACL surgery a plus.)
  • Lead new customer trial training sessions, deliver a narrative throughout the trial that explains the AR training program to both athlete and parent, and secure a training commitment.
  • Sell new training packages, collect unpaid session fees, and sell retail merchandise.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support on a consistent basis.
  • Mine new customer leads from existing member athletes and from the athletic community.

The Athletic Sports Performance Coach will be primarily based in the Athletic Republic Moosic and Dallas, Pennsylvania facilities, reports to the Facility Head Performance Coach and has:

Education - College degree in the field of exercise science (Preferred), sports physiology, physical education or sport management. CSCS, NASM or ACSM Certification required if degree is not in exercise science.

Dynamic Presence - Ideal candidates must be energetic, personable, highly motivated and comfortable working with athletes of all ages with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to function within a team structure.

Passion for Athlete Development - Experience playing and/or coaching sports and an appreciation/passion for of performance sports training.

Communication Skills - Must have superior customer service and follow-up skills, experience selling a product or service, and have demonstrated competency with writing and preparing blog, Facebook, Instagram and other social media posts.

  • Typically 15-20 hours per week
  • 8 hour shift
  • 4 hour shift
  • Afternoon and evening shifts

Education - College degree in the field of exercise science (Preferred), sports physiology, physical education or sport management.

License/Certification - NSCA, ACSM, NASM or similar certification (Required if college degree is in a field other than exercise science)
