Job description

The Sandhills Bogeys, proud members of the Old North State League, are a summer collegiate baseball team based in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The team is looking for the next leaders in sports management to join their team for the summer. Here's what they need:
Here's what you can expect from us:
  • Hands on experience in the sports industry
  • Experience in developing and executing ticketing packages and programs
  • Experience running a live event in summer collegiate baseball
  • Internship roles will include experience in one or more of the following categories: Ticket Sales, Public Address / In-Game Entertainment, Baseball Analytics / Statistics, Social Media and facility and field maintenance.

Here's what we expect from you:
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Willingness to be challenged and step outside of your comfort zone
  • Energetic and excitement about bringing the best show to Pinehurst

Here's what could be doing:
  • Assist ticket sales in identifying sales opportunities through prospecting and outreach
  • Assist ticket and sponsorship sales with soliciting, pitching and closing group and sponsorship sales
  • Assist in the creation of new and exciting between inning promotions
  • Assist in managing the team's social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok
  • Track the success of the team's social media outreach and present to the General Manager
  • Assist with facility operations to ensure a clean and safe ballpark experience
  • Assist with the set up and teardown of all team activities
  • Assist in keeping the general cleanliness of the stadium
  • Hands on experience running a summer collegiate baseball program

Summer interns begin in May 2025. This is an unpaid position. Interns should seek college credit for completion of the internship.
