Job description

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group.  Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.  We are seeking an experienced Sleep Medicine Physician to join our organization.

Position Highlights –

  • Baystate Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Sleep Medicine Physician to join our multi-disciplinary regional sleep practice with neurology, pulmonary, psychiatry, med/peds and pediatrics sleep specialists. This well-established team includes 6 dedicated sleep medicine physicians, 3 part time sleep pulmonologists, and 3 APPs.
  • 9 clinical FTE includes protected-sleep study interpretation time and 60/30 minute live and telemedicine schedule M-F 8a-5p. 1:6 Sleep lab call coverage.
  • Position supports the regional Baystate Health sleep program centered out of Baystate Medical Center, a major referral care center for complex patients along with our supporting community sites. Baystate Sleep Medicine has 18 sleep beds at 2 sites and conducts approximately 3000 home sleep studies annually. Active Inspire program with ENT and maxillofacial surgery partners and advanced titrations including TCCO2 monitoring and iVAPS.
  • Baystate offers leadership development and ongoing professional growth opportunity.
  • Combination of clinical care and resident, fellow and medical student teaching with faculty appointment at University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.

Qualifications:  ABMS BE/BC in Sleep Medicine with fellowship training.  Strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality, and lifelong learning is essential for success.

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range.  Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.  Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Sleep Medicine Physician: $263,500 - $360,000
