Position Overview Sleep Technologist Position - Night ShiftShift Details
- Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Temporary assignment with potential to evolve to permanent
- Location: Sleep Center in Phoenixville, PA
- Interview format: Teams virtual interview
Position Overview
- The registered sleep technologist performs comprehensive sleep testing procedures, interventions and data analysis and associated interventions under the general supervision of the Lead Sleep Technologist, Clinical Lab Manager, or Medical Director
- The registered sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)
Responsibilities
- Review the patient's history and verify the medical study order
- Follow sleep center protocols related to the sleep study
- Provide age-appropriate patient education
- Select appropriate equipment and calibrate for testing
- Apply all electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards
- Perform routine positive airway pressure mask fitting and desensitization
- Implement appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as positive airway pressure, supplemental oxygen, etc.)
- Demonstrate knowledge of all in-lab and out of center sleep testing protocols
- Analyze sleep study data and prepare reports for provider interpretation
- Navigate EMR and sleep data software platforms
Education
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- BS or BA highly preferred
- Associate of Arts or Science (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
- Minimum 6 months experience in a clinical sleep laboratory setting
Required Credentials
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
