As a manufacturing engineering & technical support intern, you prepare calculations and reports, gain experience with engineering systems, integrate tracking plans, and perform analysis of mechanical design choices. You may help test products, interact with various members of the team, and create or modify CAD models. As an intern your responsibilities are limited, and most employers consider gaining experience to be the most important part of your job.
Many engineering interns focus on building professional relationships in the hope of landing a permanent job after graduating. You may need to develop your skills in engineering, CAD software, and prototyping during your paid internship. Previous hands-on work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Job Tasks:
  • Support engineering process and productivity improvement projects.
  • Observe, document, and quantify process activities, lead time & run rates.
  • Support 6S and Environment Health and Safety projects.
  • Support technical sales and applications engineering.
  • Support tool inventory management activities.
  • Support quality department improvement projects.
  • Support material and WIP inventory management and improvement activities.
  • Support equipment maintenance management activities and action items.
  • Local candidates preferred.
  • Part time (24-30 hours per week).
