Familiarity with reservation management systems (such as Sabre or Amadeus), phone systems, and office software is typically required. Excellent verbal communication, patience, and problem-solving skills help agents handle inquiries and resolve issues efficiently. Part-time reservation agents often encounter periods of high call volume, especially during peak travel seasons or promotional events. Managing these surges can be challenging, but effective time management, strong communication skills, and familiarity with reservation systems help agents stay organized and efficient.
