PART-TIME MUSIC TEACHER
REPORTS TO: Elementary School Administration
PAY TYPE: Certified, Non-Supervisory, Part-Time
PAY RATE: Based upon the WLCSC Master Teacher Contract (see attachment)
BENEFITS: Eligible for voluntary benefits only (see attachment)
SCHEDULE: 183 Days; Follows school calendar; Approximately 2.5 hrs. / day (hours may change due to student enrollment)
This position will remain posted until filled. All qualified and interested applicants are encouraged to apply.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate general music instruction for kindergarten and 1st grade students, in collaboration with fellow music educators
  • Maintain regular communication with students, families, and staff regarding classroom activities, student progress, and upcoming events using appropriate platforms

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Education, Training, and Experience Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Valid Indiana Teacher's License in Music Education or pending licensure
    • Displays excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
    • Experience working in a school environment preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
    • Displays positive and enthusiastic attitude
    • Ability to work as a team with other staff
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a dynamic and diverse educational community
    • Displays dependability and punctuality

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Position works indoors in a typical school classroom environment
  • May work near others, often within a few feet
  • May occasionally be exposed to noise levels that are distracting
