The Role

We are looking for a self-directed Part-Time Marketing Manager to own and drive Burn 60's marketing from the ground up. This is not a role that requires constant oversight - you will have access to our brand, our story, and our community, and we trust you to run with it. We stay involved for brand alignment and approvals, but you set the direction and execute.This is an ideal role for someone who loves community-driven brands, thrives in small business environments, and wants to make a real and visible impact.

What You Will Own

Social Media

  • Oversee and manage the overall social strategy and our coach who currently handles day-to-day social content
  • Develop and distribute shot lists, ensuring content captures the studio, the coaches, and the energy authentically
  • Collaborate on monthly content calendar and submit to owners by the first week of each month
  • Increase posting frequency and consistency across Instagram and other relevant platforms
  • Ensure content reflects our brand voice and resonates with our community
  • Monitor follower trends, engagement rates, and content performance weekly
  • Stay current on platform algorithm updates and adapt content strategy accordingly
  • Identify and engage with local influencers, micro-creators, and complementary LA businesses for organic partnership opportunities
  • Strategize around fitness trends, seasonal hooks, and local LA events to maximize reach
  • Delivery a monthly recap to ensure goals were met for the month

Community Events

  • Ideate and execute pop-up events and local business collaborations in the LA area (1 signature event per month, some pop-ups throughout the month)
  • Build relationships with aligned local brands and businesses to co-create experiences that grow our reach
  • Manage event logistics, promotion, and post-event follow-up

Email Marketing

  • Build and manage a nurture email series for new leads to guide them from first inquiry to first class
  • Write and send a current member emails including a monthly newsletter covering milestones, studio updates, programming highlights, and community wins

Brand Growth

  • Track and report on key marketing metrics and milestones
  • Identify opportunities to grow our visibility in the local LA market
  • Maintain consistent brand voice across all channels and touchpoints
What We Are Looking For
  • 2+ years of marketing experience, ideally in fitness, wellness, lifestyle, or a community-driven brand
  • Proven track record managing social media accounts and growing engagement
  • Experience with email marketing platforms
  • Strong writing skills - you can write in a brand voice and make it feel natural
  • Experience planning and executing local events or brand activations
  • Highly self-directed - you do not need hand-holding to get things done
  • LA-based, mostly remote but with availability to be on-site when needed for content, events, and brand moments
  • Weekend availability as necessary
  • Genuine interest in health, fitness, and wellness is a plus
