Job description

As a Custodian (Part-Time) at Lightcast, you will be a key member of the facility management team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-kept office environment. This role is ideal for individuals with 1–2 years of custodial experience who demonstrate exceptional reliability and take pride in creating a consistently clean and dependable workspace for employees. Reporting hours for this part-time position are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-12:00PM PT at our Lightcast headquarters location in Moscow, Idaho.
Major Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize offices, common areas, breakrooms including kitchen area (fridges, dishwashers, microwave), conference rooms, and restrooms
  • Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning and kitchen (napkins, utensils, plates, paper product) supplies
  • Report and assist with minor facility maintenance issues
  • Follow safety procedures to maintain a clean, secure, and hazard-free workplace
  • Support exterior upkeep, including snow removal and basic weed maintenance as needed
  • Complete assigned duties reliably and help maintain a professional, business-ready environment
Education and Experience:
  • 1–2 years of custodial experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals
  • Experience with general cleaning, furniture cleaning, mopping, waste disposal, and sanitization
  • Ability to support snow removal, basic weed maintenance as needed, and regularly lift 50+ lbs.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic
  • Ability to take direction and work independently
  • Ability to manage priorities with minimal supervision
