Job description

To strengthen our commitment to Customer Centricity, where every decision is informed by deep insights into customer behaviors, motivations and expectations, we are seeking a Consumer & Market Insights Manager to lead our efforts in Brand, Product and Marketing Research. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of a variety of consumer insights research projects that guide business strategy and product development. This role goes beyond traditional research management, offering opportunities to take a leadership role within the team, mentor new market research managers (including interns and students), and enhance research capabilities through new tools, methodologies, and process improvements.

Projects may include concept exploration and development for future vehicle programs, theme evaluation to refine design concepts, identifying strategic positioning to resonate with target audiences, and ad hoc research to understand consumer preferences and behaviors.

You will be responsible for initiating, designing, executing, analyzing, and socializing consumer insights projects that influence key business decisions. Research techniques may include qualitative and quantitative methods such as ethnography, focus groups, in-depth interviews, and surveys (online and in-person).

This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, strategic thinker who thrives in cross-functional environments and is passionate about translating research into actionable insights that shape the future of mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end research initiatives using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods — independently and in partnership with vendor partners.
  • Own all phases of research projects, including assessing stakeholder needs, developing research designs, coordinating logistics, managing timelines, analyzing results, and presenting findings.
  • Act as a strategic research partner to internal stakeholders (design, engineering, brand, and marketing), translating business questions into research objectives and actionable insights.
  • Synthesize and analyze data from multiple sources (e.g., tabulations, SPSS, mTAB, qualitative summaries) to uncover insights, implications, and clear recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver compelling reports and presentations (including videos or visual summaries) to communicate findings across levels of the organization — from working teams to senior executives.
  • Take on leadership opportunities by mentoring newer team members, providing guidance on research best practices, and supporting their professional development.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and introduce innovative research tools or methodologies.
  • Champion collaboration and knowledge sharing, cross-training team members to broaden skills and capabilities across the department.
  • Lead or contribute to special initiatives that strengthen the overall impact and visibility of the Consumer & Market Insights team.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a forward-thinking team that directly influences the future of our products and brand strategy.
  • Opportunity to step into a leadership role — mentor others, lead key projects, and make meaningful process improvements without requiring direct reports.
  • Work across diverse functions — from engineering to marketing — to help shape decisions that impact millions of customers.
  • Gain exposure to a wide variety of research methods and business challenges, supporting both tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Join a culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, where your ideas can drive real change.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, marketing research, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and managing both quantitative and qualitative research projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as SPSS, mTAB, Excel, or similar data analysis platforms.
  • Proven ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — written, verbal, and visual.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience mentoring or training team members.
  • Experience with research innovation — testing or implementing new methodologies, tools, or automation techniques.
  • Experience working within or alongside design, product development, and marketing teams.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
