Job Summary:

The Brand Ambassador plays a pivotal role in driving brand awareness, fostering strong relationships with key dispensary accounts, and supporting the sales team to meet and exceed goals within the assigned territory. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively educate both budtenders and consumers on product benefits, promote brand visibility through events, and ensure flawless execution of visual merchandising standards. Additionally, the Brand Ambassador will collect valuable market insights, handle event logistics, and contribute to the overall success of marketing initiatives by executing promotional strategies. A high level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and knowledge of the industry is crucial in maintaining brand integrity and growing brand loyalty.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-store services, including event demos, trainings, and Patient Appreciation Days (PADs) at client dispensaries.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the product line to effectively communicate its benefits to both dispensary staff and consumers.
  • Capture high-quality video and photo content during events to enhance social media presence and engagement.
  • Drive product sales during demos through direct education of budtenders and customers.
  • Oversee visual merchandising and ensure proper product placement in dispensary accounts.
  • Lead budtender training sessions to increase product knowledge and administer assessments as needed.
  • Process invoices, track accruals, and prepare monthly reports for the marketing team to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Monitor store traffic, collect feedback, and gather market intelligence to inform marketing strategies.
  • Plan and execute events that align with brand objectives, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Ensure that marketing materials, such as point-of-sale items and collateral, are available and up to date.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to execute promotional requests and strategies from management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of cannabis products, their effects, chemistry, and market trends.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to engage with consumers and budtenders to effectively drive sales and meet marketing objectives.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also being a collaborative team player, building strong relationships across departments.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and familiarity with social media platforms for content sharing.

  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability, with a commitment to upholding brand standards

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or event promotions, with a proven track record of success.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a public-facing event role, demonstrating effective customer interaction skills.
  • 1+ years of experience within the legal cannabis industry, with cannabis event experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or client-facing role, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate various event and dispensary environments.
  • Must have flexible availability, including weekends, afternoons, and evenings, to accommodate event schedules.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time, visiting dispensaries and attending events in the assigned location.

Work Schedule (Non-Exempt):

This position is scheduled on a part-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements. Whenever feasible, advance notice of schedule changes will be provided. On-site presence as needed for audits, team meetings, or cross-functional initiatives. Occasional travel (<10%) for audits or state agency coordination.
