Job description

Part-Time Library Clerk

This position is a permanent part-time position in the library working approximately 21 hours per week. The work schedule is:

  • Monday 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Tuesday 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Saturday 9 AM – 1PM

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for checking books in and out, shelving books, and performing a variety of clerical duties in support of the circulation and reference services.

Major Duties:

  • Perform general circulation duties, including shelving in all areas
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service
  • Answer computer questions for patrons
  • Assist patrons with wireless printing, faxing and scanning documents
  • Light cleaning tasks to help maintain a tidy and welcoming library environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a written shelving test
  • Must be able to work every Saturday

This position is available July 6, 2026

Compensation: $10.30 per hour
