Responsibilities
The Unit Secretary is responsible for nursing unit communication. Functions include serving as a receptionist, maintaining patient records, and transcribing and communicating physician orders as well as maintaining order at the nursing station. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
  • Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a Unit Secretary preferred.
  • Experience: None required. Previous work experience in a medical environment preferred. Experience with office equipment desirable.
