Job description

PART-TIME LAW FIRM RECEPTIONIST/FILE CLERK, Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm for busy Phoenix law firm. Previous law firm experience as a receptionist or file clerk preferred but not required. High school diploma is minimum. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking, multitasking with accuracy, and strong organizational abilities, are all required. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are necessary. Position requires the ability to simultaneously act as receptionist, answer phones, interface with clients, maintain electronic and hard case files, scan and file documents, process mail, and support team.

Core Duties:

  • Front desk management: Greet clients and visitors, determine the reason for their visit, and direct them to the appropriate person.
  • Communication: Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls; and take accurate messages.
  • Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of conference rooms.
  • Mail and deliveries: Sort, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Administrative support: Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Office upkeep: Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area, maintain office supplies and equipment, and order office supplies when necessary.
