A law firm administrator manages the business and operational aspects of a law firm, essentially acting as the office manager and more. They oversee various administrative functions to ensure the firm runs smoothly and efficiently. 

Compensation:

$60,000 - $120,000


Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities of a Law Firm Administrator: 

  • Office Management: Supervising staff, managing office space, ordering supplies, and ensuring a functional and efficient work environment. 
  • Financial Management: Handling bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting. 
  • Human Resources: Managing personnel, including hiring, onboarding, training, and overseeing employee benefits. You must be willing to learn every job at the firm (except attorneys) so you can train and hold accountable the staff.
  • Technology and Systems: Managing information systems, software, and ensuring the firm's technology infrastructure runs smoothly. 
  • Legal Support: Assisting with legal correspondence, document preparation, and maintaining legal management systems. 
  • Strategic Planning: Participating in strategic planning, developing budgets, and contributing to the firm's overall success. 
  • Client and Vendor Relations: Coordinating with clients, external counsel, and vendors. 
  • Marketing: Coordinating with marketing companies to ensure firm’s marketing is performing and firm’s brand is being promoted.
  • Event Planning: Organizing and coordinating firm events.
