Job Description

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated part-time Customer Service Representative to join our team. The position requires the person to:

  • Communicate and work with customers and associates at all levels
  • Learn how to and then:
    • assist with reviewing and answering basic inquiries from customers
    • make computer inquiries and entries relating to customer accounts
    • communicate with customers and others as needed to research problems and find solutions
    • collect pertinent information from customers to handle inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prioritize and organize work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner
  • Document customer requests and Learn how to and then assist agents with basic tasks
  • Work with confidential and/or sensitive information, data, and matters in accordance with Company standards
  • Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company approved work location
  • Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere upon request

Desired Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or its equivalent is required
  • Direct insurance agency/company experience is a plus
