Description:

Wilshire Benefits Group is seeking an experienced HR professional to provide day-to-day HR support for our growing organization. This role will focus on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations support, manager consultation, unemployment administration, job description development, and HR compliance.


This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Operations. The position does not have responsibility for payroll or benefits administration, however will be trained to be a backup if needed.


Location: Hybrid (Troy, MI)

Schedule: 10 hours per week


Responsibilities

  1. Manage recruiting activities from job posting through offer stage, plus proactively searching for candidates
  2. Coordinate onboarding and employee offboarding activities
  3. Create and maintain job descriptions
  4. Advise managers on employee relations, performance, and policy matters
  5. Assist with documentation, corrective actions, and employee issues
  6. Manage unemployment claims and related documentation
  7. Support HR compliance and policy administration
  8. Help ensure consistent employment practices and minimize organizational risk
