Job Description

Atwell is seeking an entry-level Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing HR team. This role will support the new hire onboarding process from start to finish, including entering new hires into ADP, running background checks, processing I-9s, maintaining employee files, and assisting with day-to-day HR administrative needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow their career in Human Resources. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable following up with new hires and internal team members to ensure onboarding tasks are completed accurately and on time.

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and timely experience.
  • Enter new hire information into ADP and other HR systems.
  • Run and monitor background checks.
  • Process I-9 documentation and ensure compliance with employment requirements.
  • Create and maintain electronic employee files.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires regarding onboarding steps, system access, and required documentation.
  • Follow up with new hires, managers, and internal team members to ensure onboarding tasks are completed before start dates.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidential employee information is handled appropriately.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
  • Assist with HR-related projects and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of relevant administrative, HR, onboarding, or office support experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at once.
  • Comfortable working with confidential information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative while knowing when to pause, think through next steps, and loop in the appropriate team members.
  • Dependable, flexible, collaborative, and customer-service oriented.
