Job description

Part-time Food Service Workers needed for School Food Service. Monday through Friday, day shift. No weekends or Holidays. Summers off
Job Summary: Experienced and reliable Food Service Worker with strong background is school cafeteria operations. Skilled in food preparation, serving large student populations, maintaining strict sanitation standards, and supporting a positive dining environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance nutrition guidelines and portion standards.
  • Assist with daily food prep, including chopping, cooking, baking, and assembling meals.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, slicers, dishwashers, etc.).
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving lines, storage areas and dining spaces.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
  • Stocking, rotating food supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Provide friendly, patient service to students of all ages.
  • Accommodate special needs and allergy restrictions as required.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and securing equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a school cafeteria pr institutional food service setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 bls.
  • Food Handler's permit or ServSafe® Certification (preferred if applicable).
