FOOD SERVICE SALES REPRESENTATIVE OVERVIEW

The Food Service Sales Representative is responsible for promoting Azure Standardโ€™s products and services to food service accounts, including restaurants, cafes, schools, and other institutional customers. This inside sales position focuses on developing relationships with new and existing customers while driving sales growth and achieving company profit goals. The role requires a proactive approach to understanding customer needs, offering tailored product solutions, and maintaining consistent communication and support.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Relationships & Sales Growth: Develop and maintain relationships with food service customers, helping them succeed while achieving sales and profit targets. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Azure Standardโ€™s organic and sustainable food products.
  • New Business Development: Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the assigned territory, actively seeking out potential accounts that align with Azure Standardโ€™s mission and values.
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Address any issues that arise during the order process, such as out-of-stock items, special orders, or delivery problems.


Food Service Sales Representative Job Description

  • Accounts Receivable Management: Collaborate with the account support team to ensure timely payment and collection of accounts receivable, working with customers to resolve any payment issues.
  • Financial responsibility: Manage the financial performance of your accounts, including sales growth, credits, and promotional budgets, ensuring that all activities are aligned with business profitability goals.

  • Ongoing Training & Development: Attend and participate in company functions, customer events, and sales meetings. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Industry events and representation: Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and other events to promote Azure Standard, build relationships, and expand your food service customer base.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record in food service sales, particularly within the natural and organic product space.
