The Opportunity:
As a DevOps engineer, you know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks─ultimately how to "harness the cloud." We're looking for a DevOps infrastructure engineer like you to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions.
As a DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll work closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You'll sharpen your skills within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients' meaningful missions.

Whether helping to develop, deploy, or manage IT infrastructures for crucial server and network components, here you'll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with software development
  • 2+ years of experience building and administering compute instances and services in the cloud and on-premises for development, test, and production environments
  • Experience with container orchestration and application containerization using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience scripting, testing, and deploying new versions of cloud services and infrastructure, including design and management of automation playbooks such as Ansible
  • Experience developing tools, services, processes, and workflows to ensure DevOps pipelines are available
  • Knowledge of Linux administration and networking
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools used to build, evaluate, test, and deploy services, including Kubernetes-based distributions
  • Ability to ensure solutions are security compliant
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience using AWS services such as EC2, S3, and EKS
  • Experience using GitHub Actions
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux and Argo
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security (CKS) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
