Description
The Cashier runs one of the two cashier stations/registers for the RCS cafe during school lunches.
ABOUT RCS:
Resurrection Christian School is a private, non-denominational Christian college-preparatory school located in Loveland, Colorado. Founded in 1998 by Rez.Church, Resurrection Christian School serves students from Pre-K through 12th grade. RCS is the largest Christian school in Northern Colorado, serving nearly 900 families from 19 communities over a 25-mile radius. School enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is approximately 1,350 students. RCS is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI); AdvancED.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communication
• Talk with children and adults as they come through the café line
• Work with the Director of Food Services & Finance Department to coordinate purchases of lunches in the café system.
Data Maintenance
• Help to maintain cashier stations in the café.
Custodial
• Sweep, wipe, clean and maintain café to a standard acceptable for food preparation and delivery
• Restock napkins, utensils, plates and cups as needed
• Prepare beverages and food cups to ensure easy line movement and efficiency
Customer Service
• Uphold and regularly promote the RCS Mission and Core Values.
• Maintain professional and effective relationships with all RCS staff, students, and families.
SKILLS:
• Skilled at oral and written communication.
• Skilled at basic math.
• Skilled at personal computer and keyboarding.
• Skilled at customer service including attentive and active listening with all staff, students, parent/guardians and community members.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of operating personal computers, peripherals and typical office equipment.
ABILITIES:
• Able to manage multiple priorities and multi-task with frequent interruptions.
• Able to be flexible in times of change and adapt to changing environments and priorities.
OTHER:
• All other duties designated.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Experience cashiering is a plus.
Must have excellent people skills, be able to talk and relate to children and adults. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Cashier to the RCS Cafe position requires intermittent physical activity including standing, walking, bending kneeling, stooping, crouching and lifting up to 40lbs on occasion. Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must possess normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
