Reports to: Principal
Salary and terms of Employment:
Anticipated Start Date: Upon Hire
10-Month Position
Daily Schedule: 10:50 A.M.-1:50 P.M. M-F (up to 15 hours per week)
Range - $18.26 per hour
Performance Responsibilities:
  • Actively supervise students in the cafeteria, on the playground, in the hallways, and/or other area assigned
  • Promote student safety by ensuring an orderly environment in which students adhere to school regulations and expectations
  • Develop positive relationships with students by recognizing appropriate behaviors and treating every student with dignity
  • Address inappropriate behavior with calm verbal reminders
  • Report significant or repeated misbehavior to the classroom teacher or administrator
  • Report any student injuries immediately to the school nurse
  • Support and communicate with other monitors and staff members
  • Ensure that no child is left unsupervised
  • Escort students in hallways
  • Provide written reports of significant behavior issues and student injuries
