Job description

If you're an experienced Class A CDL driver with your Hazmat Endorsement, piggyback forklift experience, and the ability to operate a manual transmission truck, we'd like to hear from you.

AHI Supply is opening a new location in Leander, TX and is looking for an experienced CDL Local Delivery Driver to support local deliveries and daily operations. This role is responsible for safely delivering construction materials, operating a piggyback forklift, completing inspections and documentation, and providing outstanding customer service. This position will primarily make local deliveries throughout Leander and the surrounding areas and may also make deliveries between the Leander and Buda locations. Because this is a startup location, we are seeking an experienced driver who can work independently with minimal training and contribute from day one.


Pay & Benefits

  • Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour
  • $1,500 Sign-On Bonus
    • $750 paid after 6 weeks of successful employment
    • $750 paid after 6 months of successful employment

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • 5:00 AM until all work is completed

What You'll Do

  • Safely operate a Class A CDL flatbed tractor-trailer
  • Deliver construction materials to customer job sites
  • Make local deliveries throughout Leander and surrounding areas
  • Perform deliveries between the Leander and Buda locations as needed
  • Load, strap, secure, and tarp flatbed loads
  • Unload materials using a piggyback (truck-mounted) forklift
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and all DOT documentation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers throughout the day
  • Maintain assigned equipment in a safe, clean, and serviceable condition
  • Follow all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and AHI Supply safety requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
  • Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) required at the time of hire
  • Previous piggyback (truck-mounted) forklift experience required
  • Must be able to successfully pass a road test in a standard (manual transmission) truck
  • Flatbed delivery experience preferred
  • Knowledge of proper load securement and tarping procedures
  • Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required
