Job description

Location - Two positionas available 

  • Clarkston Junior High School
  • Clarkston High School

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in the preparation of food portions and sets up the serving line.
  • Responsible for serving students and staff, operating cash register or debit card computers, and other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager and/or food service supervisor.
  • Washes dishes, pans, etc. and assists in cleaning the counters, tables, and dining area.
  • Helps to maintain the trash in an orderly fashion, disassembling boxes, rinsing cans, etc.
  • Performs related duties as required including duties for special catering functions.
  • Study the weekly menus along with past production records to help establish food quantities needed.
  • Responsible for daily sales and production records required by the food service department.
  • Assists in preparing food according to the planned menu, always checking for the best quality and appearance of the food before serving or shipping.
  • Reports any problem or accident to the principal and/or kitchen manager immediately.
  • Follow directions given by the cook and/or kitchen manager.
  • Keeps serving areas supplied with proper supplies.  Keep dishes and supplies in proper areas.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment in the food service program.

Salary/Schedule:

  • $16.00 Per Hour
  • Monday - Friday
  • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Off during summer and school breaks
