Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities:ย 

  • Setup of automation presses or assembly machines.ย 

  • Set up and debug new automation as needed.ย ย Make samples forย new items/customers.ย 

  • Maintain,ย troubleshoot,ย and repair various assembly,ย automation,ย and mold equipment.ย 

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and fill out relevant paperwork.ย ย Cross train with molding technicians for mold machine maintenance.ย 

  • Check and adjust parameters during changeovers and note changes for update.ย 

  • Clean automation equipment and areas.ย 

  • Replace worn equipment.ย 

  • Look for methods of improving efficiency andย ensuringย quality standards, as part of a team.ย 

  • Assist QA with finding and implementing corrective actions from customer rejections.ย 

  • Write order requests for replenishment of inventory.ย 

  • Maintain dailyย electronicย logย forย each piece of equipment. Document equipment specifications.ย 

  • Communicate with other shifts, operators, and technicians to give and receive updates on equipment status.ย 

  • Assistย with training new operators.ย 

  • Assistย moldย techsย with emptying runners, mold set ups, and setting up new cell production lines.ย 

  • Support production with anย on-callย status, authorized forย rotatingย scheduled overtime on weekends.ย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • High School Diploma/GEDย Required;ย Vocational Degreeย preferredย 

  • 3-5 years of experience in aย manufacturing setting.ย 

  • Working knowledge of robotics, pneumatics,ย hydraulics,ย and electric systems; sonic welding and injection moldingย preferred.ย 

  • Willingness/ability to attend formal training courses to learn PLC programming if needed (employee will be paid for his/her time).ย 

  • Mustย possessย good communicationย (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, excellent visual skills for accessing functionality of equipment, above basic mathematicalย skillsย and reasoning ability.ย 

  • Able to readย electrical schematics.ย 

  • Knowledge of OSHA Requirements to include Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding, and Authorized Lockout/Tagout Procedures.ย 

  • Basic working knowledge of computer software, email, excel, word and internet.ย 

  • Possess strong work ethic, is aย self-starter, has goodย attendanceย and works successfully in team settings.ย 

Physical Requirements:ย ย 

  • Possess dexterity and flexibility to allow for work around various machines that require crawling, kneeling, reaching,ย bending,ย and standing. Must be able to stand for a full shift (8 hours).ย 

  • Ability toย liftย to 50 pounds sporadically.ย ย ย 

Compensation Information:

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, market level, other job-related factors, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. As applicable this role will also receive overtime compensation and may be eligible for shift premium compensation.

Pay Range: $25 - $35
