As an Automation Engineer III, you'll play a key role in programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing substation operations. Responsibilities - Program and troubleshoot RTUs for Transmission SCADA systems. - Develop and maintain points lists and perform in-depth system diagnostics. - Support automation projects, including IP connectivity for substations and scripting tasks. - Design, implement, and manage substation IED management solutions. - Partner with engineering and compliance teams to create, standardize, and enhance best practices. - Drive continuous improvement and innovation in substation automation. Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology (ABET-accredited). - 2-5 years of utility sector experience. - Hands-on skills with relays, RTUs, gateways, or smart grid devices. - Strong troubleshooting and programming capabilities. Preferred Skills - Experience with transmission/distribution protection and controls. - Familiarity with relay testing. - Knowledge of substation IP connectivity, networking, and IED management solutions.
