Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Playwright Automation Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise web automation. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using TypeScript and Playwright for complex, business-critical web applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Automate functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test scenarios for enterprise web applications.
• Collaborate with QA, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to understand requirements and define effective test coverage.
• Build reusable automation components, utilities, and test libraries to improve execution speed and maintainability.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution across environments.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and partner with development teams for timely resolution.
• Maintain and enhance automation scripts as application features evolve.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce automation engineering best practices.
• Prepare and share test reports, execution metrics, and quality status updates with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript.
• Proven experience in enterprise web automation.
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of functional, smoke, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Practical experience with Page Object Model (POM) and automation design patterns.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and API testing.
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Knowledge of performance testing and cross-browser testing.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms.
• Experience with SQL and database validation.
