Job description

Miami Country Day School is seeking a part-timeย Arts Coordinator to support the daily operations of our Center for the Arts and Arts Department. This position is ideal for a highly organized, collaborative professional who enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on event and production support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS

As a key member of our Arts team, you will help ensure the successful planning and execution of performances, exhibitions, assemblies, student travel, and special events. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating production and event logistics, including stage management support, sound cue and script preparation, front-of-house operations, and summer arts programs.
  • Providing administrative support for the Arts Department, including travel coordination, purchasing and credit card reconciliations, scheduling, and maintaining departmental records.
  • Managing the Taplin Gallery Exhibition Calendar and assisting with gallery exhibitions, artist residencies, master classes, performances, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Serving as Assembly Coordinator for weekly school assemblies across all divisions.
  • Coordinating travel for student and faculty arts groups, including transportation, lodging, registrations, itineraries, permissions, and communications.
  • Collaborating with faculty, Operations, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of on-campus and off-campus arts events.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • A bachelor's degree and/or at least five years of experience in arts administration, event planning, or a related field.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build positive relationships across departments.
  • Experience coordinating large events or productions is highly desirable.
  • Comfort working independently while also contributing as part of a dynamic team.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other administrative systems.
