Position Summary:

Job Description

Works in collaboration with gallery staff to promote exhibitions and engage internal and external communities for arts programming across the college.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day marketing and communications efforts for visual arts programming college-wide.

  • Oversee the galleries' website and social media platforms by creating, scheduling, and publishing content that promotes exhibitions, artists, events, and membership opportunities.

  • Coordinate digital marketing campaigns through email, social media, web content, and other promotional channels using content developed in collaboration with gallery staff and curators.

  • Coordinate the galleries' membership program, including member communications, renewals, recruitment initiatives, recordkeeping, and member events.

  • Maintain marketing calendars, membership databases, mailing lists, and promotional materials.

  • Create promotional graphics, photography, recordings, and other marketing materials that support gallery communications and outreach while adhering to established branding and messaging.

  • Monitor digital engagement and online data.

  • Provide positive interactions with students, visitors and community members.

  • Occasionally assist gallery staff with administrative support, including correspondence, recordkeeping, purchasing, event support, and art handling.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Arts Director.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree

  • Strong preference for candidates with ability to work 20-29 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Strong preference for candidates with experience overseeing social media platforms (including Meta business), email marketing, and digital communications. Experience generating web content.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.

  • Strong writing, editing, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Experience creating digital content using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design software.

  • Familiarity with website content management systems, automations and email marketing platforms.

  • Previous experience in Art, Art History, Museum Studies, Arts Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience working in an art gallery, museum, cultural organization, nonprofit, higher education, or similar environment.

  • Experience working with membership or donor databases is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

  • Ability to perform occasional physical tasks associated with exhibition installation and gallery operations.
