Systems Administrator
The Opportunity:
Your technical expertise makes you a key team player, solving one problem after another. Here, you'll have the ability to work with a team of scientists, engineers, and other system administrators to support a Department of Defense client. We are seeking someone who can maintain a standalone network system, ensuring the infrastructure remains functional and available to support our client's mission.
As a System Administrator on our project, you'll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement of a mission-critical system, working closely with government counterparts at the client's site to ensure our system meets requirements and remains operational. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help our team address challenges and develop new met hodologies. You'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. Join our team and solve daily challenges to help our team provide excellent support to our client.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with systems administration of Windows systems, including system management, application and sof tware patching, optimization and monitoring of network servers, and management of network shares
  • 5+ years of experience with management of Windows Server and Workstations in an Active Directory domain and with management of virtual machines
  • 2+ years of experience performing system and network hardening using DoD Security Requirements Guides ( SRGs ) and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides ( STIGs )
  • 2+ years of experience with SCAP benchmarks and using vulnerability scanning tools such as SCC, Nessus, and ACAS
  • Knowledge of Linux workstations
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery of systems
  • Ability to independently manage day-to-day tasks within schedule
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, SecurityX, CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, FITSP-O, or GFAACT Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with Hyper-V or VMware vSphere and v Center
  • Experience with management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
  • Experience managing networks using Cisco switches
  • Experience managing a mixture of thin clients and physical workstations
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools
  • Knowledge of Veritas Backup Exec for backup and recovery of systems
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • ACAS or Micro sof t Certified Asso cia te or Expert Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
