PART TIME ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT – 30 hours per week

Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to support the daily financial and administrative operations. This role will primarily focus on the billing process while also providing cross-functional support in accounting and administration. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities with accuracy and confidentiality.

Over time, this position will be trained in several key operational functions to serve as a backup for other team members when needed, ensuring continuity of workflow and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with client billing.
  • Assist with invoice generation, edits, and billing adjustments.
  • Enter and reconcile client payments and deposits.
  • Issue checks and process vendor payments.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries as directed.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Learn and perform key functions across billing, accounting, and matter management.
  • Serve as a backup for team members during absences, vacations, and peak workload periods.
  • Ensure procedures are followed consistently and accurately across all assigned tasks.

Requirements
