Job description

The Parking Ambassador is responsible for creating a positive, professional, and welcoming first impression for all guests while ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-organized parking environment. This role combines guest service, traffic direction, and parking operations responsibilities, supporting daily site operations through active monitoring of parking activity, facility upkeep, payment compliance support, and safety awareness. The Parking Ambassador represents Premium Parking's commitment to providing great places to park and exceptional service at every location.
Available Shifts:
  • all shifts available, 7am-3pm 10am-6pm 3pm-11pm
  • open availability preferred
  • open to working with your schedule as well

Major Responsibility: Provide an exceptional guest experience through prompt, courteous, and safe service while supporting traffic flow, parking operations, and overall facility appearance.
Guest Service & Communication
  • Greet all guests using Premium Parking's customer service standards.
  • Answer customer questions regarding parking rates, directions, payment methods, and general site information.
  • Assist guests in resolving concerns or complaints in a professional and friendly manner, escalating issues to leadership when appropriate.

Traffic & Parking Operations
  • Direct and guide vehicles into parking areas using approved flagging and traffic control techniques.
  • Monitor parking activity to support proper payment and compliance with posted rules.
  • Observe traffic flow and report congestion, unauthorized parking, or operational concerns.
  • Support event parking, peak periods, and special operational needs as directed.

Site Appearance & Facility Upkeep
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of the parking area by removing debris and emptying trash receptacles.
  • Conduct routine walk-throughs to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, vandalism, or equipment issues.
  • Ensure signage, pay stations, and equipment are clean, visible, functional, and repositioned or updated as directed.

Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to support a safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report hazards, incidents, security concerns, or equipment issues to supervisory staff.
  • Adhere to all company policies, operational standards, and safety procedures at all times.

Professional Standards
  • Maintain a professional appearance in full uniform, including name tag.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Job Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide friendly, professional guest service.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Comfortable using smartphones or handheld devices for operational tasks (training provided).
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend verbal instructions and written correspondence.

Preferred:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous customer service, parking, or hospitality experience.
  • Six (6) months or more of work experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license (may be required based on site).
  • Ability to drive and operate standard and automatic transmission vehicles comfortably.

Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as flagging or directing vehicles.
  • May be required to bend, push, twist, and pull objects repetitively.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to outdoor environments and weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, and humidity.
