Job Purpose

The Parking Attendant plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient parking experience for Georgia Aquarium guests. This role involves greeting customers, directing traffic, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organized parking facility.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist Aquarium guests and general parkers in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Direct customers to available parking spaces and provide guidance as needed.
  • Monitor the parking garage to ensure proper parking, safety, and security.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding the Georgia Aquarium, parking policies, payment options, and directions.
  • Handle parking fee transactions, including cash, credit cards, and digital payments.
  • Report vehicle accidents, suspicious activity, or maintenance issues promptly to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parking area, ensuring signage is visible and in good condition.
  • Provide support during peak times or special events to ensure smooth parking operations.
  • Assist in managing parking lot traffic flow to prevent congestion and ensure safety.
  • Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues as necessary.

Working Conditions

Work is performed on-site in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, and cold temperatures. The role involves prolonged periods outdoors or inside a parking deck. Specific uniforms may be provided to accommodate weather conditions.
