Job Description

The Systems Administrator provides advanced technical support for issues escalated from IT Support Specialists and is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), data communications networks, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. This role monitors system performance and verifies the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. The Systems Administrator reviews system and application logs, verifies completion of scheduled jobs including system backups, analyzes network and server resource consumption, and manages user access.

This position also installs and upgrades software, maintains software licenses, and administers the Microsoft 365 environment, including Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve technical issues escalated from IT Support Specialists.

  • Create and maintain Knowledge Base solutions to support IT Support Specialists.

  • Maintain and administer servers, network devices, telephony, and network storage, including patching and troubleshooting.

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.

  • Perform data backups and verify successful completion.

  • Assist with database and file maintenance and automations.

  • Procure office equipment and provide technical support to users.

  • Assist with the repair, configuration, and deployment of computer hardware and software.

  • Share other IT department responsibilities, including after-hours troubleshooting as needed.

  • Assist with testing new versions of application software.

  • Configure and maintain Intune device management profiles.

  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with corporate and branch employees.

  • Comply with all organizational policies and make suggestions for needed changes or improvements.

  • Observe all company safety policies to help ensure a safe working environment.
