H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a System Administrator to join our current contract supporting the White Sands Missile Range in Alamogordo, New Mexico. H2 is recruiting qualified personnel for a new 2026 Information Systems Operations Service Support requirement at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. This anticipated contract will support WSMR's mission IT infrastructure, including enterprise services, cybersecurity, help desk, systems administration, network support, and related IT management support services. Positions are contingent upon contract award, final staffing requirements, security eligibility, certification requirements, and customer approval where applicable. This work will be performed on-client site and requires an active Secret clearance and CompTIA Security+ CE at time of hire.

Theย System Administratorย responsibilities include:

  • Provide support in all areas and phases of installation, set-up, configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware, software and any other specified tools.
  • Provide server, desktop, software, peripheral planning and support, imaging services, release management, password management, and Information Technology (IT) training.
  • Provide Tier 3 and 4 level support for all designated IT systems within the area of assigned responsibility.
  • Password Control Management to include issuing, maintaining and deleting end-user device accounts and passwords.
  • Install, integrate, and maintain various system servers and workstations such as, but not limited to, Windows Server 2012r2-2019 and Windows 10 OS
  • Execute policies and standards, as they relate to IT systems and network security and protocols.
  • Provide comprehensive solutions for managing desktops, workstations, servers, printers, bridges, routers, etc.
  • Evaluate, install, configure, upgrade, and back-up hardware and software.
  • Assist with configuring and assigning file shares and linking servers to database systems.
  • Utilize various scripting languages to create on-line forms linking users to databases.
  • Support management of remote client access.
  • Monitor network traffic and make necessary recommendations for additional resources or hardware.

Requirements

Required Experience:

SA Experience Levels

  • Intermediate Level: 3-4 years of experience
  • Senior Level: 5+ years of experience

Hands-on experience performing System Administrator/Server Administrator activities to include:

  • Server OS Knowledge (Server 2012r2-2019)
  • Virtual Machine Servers (VMs)
  • OS Hardening via patch management via WSUS, MECM ADR, PDQ, Shavalik, Ivanti or other major patch management solutions.
  • Automation via tools, services, and scripting (Bash/Powershell)
  • Advanced Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • Administration of files share (NTFS and Share Permissions)
  • STIG/IAVAS and POA&M process
  • Vulnerability Assessment
  • Backup and restore process
  • COTS software/hardware

Required Education/Training:

  • B.S. degree in Information Technology or related field; relevant and equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • CompTIA Security+ ce certification.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
