POSITION SUMMARY
The Online Membership Associate (Paid Ads Specialist) plays an integral role in growing the Centers online membership base and donations by helping manage the paid digital systems that get high-performing content in front of new and existing audiences. This position will support paid advertising execution, budget pacing, campaign setup, reporting, channel expansion, and distribution workflows across multiple digital platforms. In addition to campaign operations, this role will provide content production support for paid and organic digital campaigns, including light graphic creation, video formatting, asset versioning, and platform-specific creative adjustments. The ideal candidate should have a passion for saving wildlife and wild places; experience with digital advertising platforms; strong organizational and analytical skills; and the ability to support creative production needs that help scale mission-driven content. This position reports directly to the Senior Online Membership Associate.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help implement paid digital campaigns to increase donor acquisition, sustainer growth, donor renewals, upgrades, and overall membership growth.
  • Assist with campaign setup, quality assurance, naming conventions, reporting, and publishing across paid digital platforms.
  • Support paid advertising efforts across Meta, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other emerging or relevant digital channels.
  • Develop and execute A/B testing strategies across paid media campaigns, including ad copy, creative, landing pages, audiences, and bidding approaches to improve conversion rates and campaign performance.
  • Manage and optimize Google Ads paid search campaigns, including keyword strategy, bid adjustments, search term analysis, negative keyword monitoring, quality score improvements, and ongoing performance reporting.
  • Work with the Senior Online Membership Associate to monitor campaign performance, identify trends, and help recommend budget and creative adjustments.
  • Work with the Senior Online Membership Associate and Lead Content Producer to support in light graphic creation, video editing, creative versioning, resizing of assets and various other content needs.
  • Help manage and track advertising performance against goals, spend pacing, campaign timelines, and performance benchmarks.
  • Build and maintain systems for organizing creative assets, campaign links, ad copy, targeting notes, reporting documents, and platform-specific requirements.
  • Assist in testing multiple versions of creative, copy, audiences, placements, landing pages, and formats across paid channels.
  • Coordinate with content producers to ensure assets are correctly formatted, labeled, delivered, and ready for launch.
  • Help identify new paid distribution opportunities, channels, vendors, tools, and platform formats that could support membership growth.
  • Participate in reporting and analyzing metrics on digital advertising performance, including acquisition, conversion, engagement, cost, and revenue trends.
  • Help customize dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights on paid ad campaigns.
  • Support the production and maintenance of landing pages, tracking links, UTM systems, pixels, tags, and other campaign infrastructure as needed.
  • Monitor paid social and digital advertising trends, platform changes, and emerging best practices.
  • Contribute to team project management tools, production calendars, and campaign planning processes.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital advertising, paid media, digital marketing, fundraising, advocacy, campaign operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, YouTube advertising, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, or similar digital advertising platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail, especially with campaign setup, tracking, naming conventions, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance and communicate clear observations, trends, and recommendations.
  • Experience supporting paid digital campaigns that use creative testing, audience testing, landing pages, and performance reporting.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, dashboards, project management tools, digital asset systems, and campaign documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the current digital advertising landscape and emerging paid media trends.
  • Strong written communication and copy-writing skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job is carried out in a traditional office setting and requires long hours working at the computer. Occasional travel to the Tucson office is required and other travel opportunities may arise. Occasional work in off-hours during rapid response / news moments that can temporarily impact work schedule.
