Job description

Job Purpose:

Our Sales Trainee will learn Veritiv's full sales lifecycle and support the sales team with generating new leads within a designated region or industry. This role will also focus on maintaining customer relationships, increasing revenue from existing accounts and provide specific solutions and quotes. This position requires a competitive and motivated spirit with the drive to solve problems.

Job Responsibilities:

Generate new leads by researching networking, cold calling, and prospecting.
Increase revenue and profitability through the generation of new business and further development of existing accounts.
Execute sales initiatives to grow sales and profitability within accounts.
Assist clients in establishing sustainable packaging supply chains.
Understand complex requirements from customers for preparation of packaging solutions and quotes.
Manage customer projects in various industries such as Food, Technology, Healthcare, Automotive, Industrial, etc.
Educate clients on the latest innovations within our industry.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Packaging experience preferred but not required.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in new sales/business development.

Ability to use and create customer presentations, quotes, proposals, value logs, etc.

Ability to create and maintain strong relations with customers.

Salary Range $65,000 - $80,000

Work Experience:

2+ years related experience preferredAbility to work independently, successfully manage accounts, work under pressure, and adapt to changes in the work environment is essential. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong planning and organization skills are required. The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Education:

High School Diploma/GED Preferred

Physical Requirements:
A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require computer work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for long periods of time.
The position also requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
The position requires work in an office as well as travel to customers, suppliers, group meetings, etc.
