Description
  • Maintain departmental safety, cleanliness inspections, participate in the Safety Committee along with accurate and timely incident alert completion.
  • Complete quality issue analysis (root cause- 5 Why), participate in Quality Meeting and Quality teams, answer all QN's assigned to the area along with timely completion of Quality forms.
  • Work with the Quality Department and the parent company to ensure customer oriented continuous improvement is facilitated along with composing and conducting quality audits
  • Actively participate in employee retention improvement through turnover reduction programs along with leading interviews and submitting payroll for the department.
  • Continuously improve organizational structure that will achieve sales growth and company objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity along with timely completion of corrective action.
  • Maintain and procure all required assets for department to achieve goals in conjunction with IE department and actively participate in the improvement walks.
  • Actively participate in the company's suggestion, quality, efficiency, and cost-saving programs. By providing support for developing the strategic direction of the PS Department at NORD.
  • Draft edited JI's for approval in accordance with global standard. Ensure proper use of JI and JI re-training. Actively oversee ON-Time, Capacity and LL01 report for all facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain training plans for PS and Support that include forklift operation.
    Conduct meetings (Kaizen, accountability) complete all standard work procedures and communicate with shift along with coordinating maintenance (entering tickets, projects).
  • Optimize product flow and productivity through scheduling and supervision and employee assignment to meet or exceed on-time deliveries along with developing the lead to do the same.
  • Own responsibility off all Production Scheduling Department operations, becoming a subject matter "expert". This includes such things as SAP, Customer options, leaning, maintenance, Industrial Engineering needs, printing orders, printing tags and adherence to the NORD global standards.
  • Control costs to adhere to the current budget and provide value added input for the following years budget.
  • Develop production scheduling methods to ensure the highest efficiency while maintaining customer delivery expectations by partnering with Customer Logistics, Materials, Production with feedback.
  • Follow Global standards for Production Planning and Production Support/Pullers. Ensure we have a standard process between shifts.
  • Extensive use and knowledge of SAP to optimize the flow of production orders through the system
  • Monitoring the order in which work orders are pulled and assembled in the production process and monitoring an orders position in the paint and packaging process.
  • Assist each department with analyzing reasons for late orders and assist in creating corrective actions
  • Work closely with shop supervisors to develop and implement plans to improve flexibility, efficiency, on-time delivery, and to identify when capabilities are consistently out of line with needs.
  • Conduct meetings (Kaizen, accountability) and complete all standard work procedures.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma. College Degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Prior Leadership experience required. Production planning experience or equivalent preferred, bilingual preferred. Crisis management skills, Microsoft Office and SAP preferred.
  • Skills and Key Attributes: Strong team building skills, good verbal & written communication skills, good decision making skills, ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must have good customer service skills, able to maintain composure during stressful events. Must be very organized, must have SAP or similar MRP/ERP working knowledge related to order entry and production planning. Excellent computer skills and reporting capabilities.
  • Physical Requirements: Work in shop environment throughout the day. Ability to stand for up to 10 hours a day.
