Job description

Summary
This position will focus on and provide professional shoe fitting solutions for inpatient and ambulatory patients. Duties include evaluating patient's physical disabilities, disease or deformity to ensure the proper footwear is ordered. This is an individual position working on a variety of cases with minimal supervision. This position requires innovation and creativity in solving issues.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Evaluates patients with physical disabilities, disease and deformity for appropriate footwear solutions.
  • Consults with medical providers and therapists to understand the best footwear options for the patient.
  • Measure patient's feet to ensure the correct footwear is ordered.
  • Work with shoe manufacturer to order best footwear option.
    • Takes appropriate measurements.
    • Performs fitting and delivery of shoes to patients.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to obtain a shoe fitter certification.
  • Knowledge and ability to assist in evaluation of foot needs in a diverse population.
