Job description

Title: Chemical Engineering Analyst

Location: Sardis, MS

Base Salary: $50,000–$70,000.

Company Overview:

Our client is a rapidly growing, vertically integrated manufacturer serving the regenerative and sustainable farming sectors. Headquartered in the Southeast, the company operates five facilities across the U.S. and Canada.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Chemical Quality Specialist initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role will drive process optimization, equipment validation, data analysis, and innovation while supporting new product development, process enhancements, and system upgrades. Will oversee all aspects of chemical process engineering within a full-scale, 24/7 high-volume manufacturing operation, including coordination with a prototype lab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the tech transfer and scale-up of new processes from development into manufacturing.
  • Participate in equipment and process troubleshooting and provide on-floor technical support.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
  • Support compliance and documentation, including SOPs, process flow diagrams, technical reports, deviations, and change controls.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to support trials and new product development.
  • Contribute to capital and expansion projects, including ROI evaluations and capital expenditure requests.
  • Support equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and process monitoring in coordination with QA and safety teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, cost reduction, and energy savings.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to GMP and safety requirements.
  • Perform other engineering duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biochemical, or Process Engineering (or related field).
  • 1+ years of experience in a GMP manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or chemical process environment.
  • Understanding of basic chemical/biochemical processes and lab/plant operations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with process control systems and equipment operation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards in food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and practices.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong foundation in unit operations (e.g., heating, evaporation, centrifugation, drying, fluid transport).
  • Knowledge of equipment selection and evaluation for food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
