PACKAGING TEAM MEMBER - Full Time opportunity for 2nd shift + 60 Day Stay Bonus of $500!*

Key details:

  • 3:00pm - 1:00am, Monday through Thursday (four-10's)
  • No Weekends or Holidays!
  • Full Time $16.00-$18.00/hr + benefits package!

General Description: The Packaging Team Member is responsible for the efficient operation of the light packaging and curd room lines while accurately filling and securing our products to ship to customers. This position must practice safety in all aspects of the job. Additionally, this position must interact well with all other departments and be willing to learn and assist in other areas as needed.


What will you do?

  • Work on the production line, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and meeting daily output goals!
  • Monitor product quality (freshness, texture, appearance) while ensuring packages are being properly sealed and labeled.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards while keeping your work station clean.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintain the duties of the department as per packaging supervisorโ€™s instructions.
  • Inspect package and seal of product in correct packaging.
  • Assure proper labeling per order as set by the supervisor.
  • Stack finished product within the proper boxes on a pallet.
  • Understand the cleanup operation of the packaging department.
  • Season cheese curds while following flavor profiles provided by the supervisor.
  • Inspect weight and seal retail packages of cheese.
  • Properly record production data.
  • Maintain a sanitary workspace according to the companyโ€™s Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Follow all current company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required Education / Experience/ Competencies and Other Skills:

  • Reliable attendance and on-time arrival are required.
  • Ability to read and follow directions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience and Other Skills:

  • Eagerness and willingness to learn and work in the dairy industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repetitively.
  • Stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Pass a drug & alcohol screen as well as a general background check.
  • Food plant environment; must adhere to all food and plant safety policies and regulations.
  • Work with chemicals for cleaning purposes.

Must be 18 years of age as required by policy.


*Stay Bonus awarded after 60 days of successful employment and paid through regular payroll.
