Come be a part of creating a more equitable world.We are looking for people to help us out in our Wauwatosa Warehouse as Food Packaging Assistants on 2nd shift. Food Packaging Assistants pay is $17.00/ hour.
No Experience required!
As a food packaging assistant, you will work in our Production Department and help package our high quality spices for our customers. The job involves working independently as well as working with others within the department. A willingness to learn, help out where needed and accept new tasks are an important part of the job. During the packaging process there are important safety and quality processes that are involved.
We provide thorough training, as well as opportunity and encouragement for Assistants to transition into Machine Operators which includes a pay increase. Machine Operators make $19.00/hour after successful training is completed.
Full Time Shifts Available:
Second Shift- Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
Weekends & Overtime as Business Needs Require
Your daily job will include:
  • Assisting the machine operator with the daily production runs
  • Preparing production lines by loading with spices, containers, boxes, and supplies
  • Checking to see that spices are being packaged correctly with our company quality standards and making the necessary corrections to items that do not meet the standards
  • Packing spices into boxes and then palletizing those boxes
  • Check/Inspect the quality of raw goods (spices) and finished goods (packaged) to ensure the items meet our standards
  • Cleaning machinery and packaging area as needed
  • Communicate with the Machine Operators you work with daily, as well as other employees within the same department
  • You will be part of supporting the Company Safety Culture in the packaging process which includes following quality guidelines and following good manufacturing practices (GMP) to ensure safety and quality product is being produced
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical requirements:
  • Be able to stand for long periods, bend, twist, lift, climb stairs, perform repetitive fine motor movements, and be able to lift up to but not limited to 50 pounds.
