Job Description

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. The Shift will be M, T, W, Thu 6pm to 6am.

The Maintenance Mechanic will coordinate all maintenance projects and handle general facility maintenance and will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.  

Salary Range: $35 - $42/hour with a 20% shift differential based on education, experience and qualifications of the applicant. 

  • General office and manufacturing maintenance
  • Lubrication / oil changing of heavy production machinery
  • Repair / replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, etc.
  • Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations, cost savings measures as required
  • Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with everyday thoughts for Environment, Health & Safety
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications
  • High School Degree
  • 5 + years of experience industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
  • Prior forklift certification a plus
  • Familiarity with environmental, health & safety regulations
  • Must possess good mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls
  • Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus
  • Lifting of up to 50 pounds
