WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Machinery Tool Artisan, your primary goal will be the meticulous fabrication and modification of machine tools. Harness your understanding of mechanical layouts, metal properties, and machining methodologies. Your expertise extends to operating machines like Vertical Turret Lathes and Manual Lathes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup and manually craft components tailored for varied pump models in our custom-focused job shop
  • Create items like impellers with the highest precision, adhering to defined specifications
  • Analyze mechanical drawings to develop operational methodologies
  • Undertake precision machining tasks using diverse equipment such as boring mills and ID/OD grinders
  • Conduct detailed dimensional checks and documentation using inspection tools
  • Critically assess machining strategies to amplify efficiency
  • Ensure continuous maintenance of machining equipment
  • Observe rigorous safety protocols in line with Hydro specifications
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to address and resolve technical challenges
