Hilton Ocala is one of four Meyer Jabara properties in Florida. Our beautiful 196-room hotel features six spacious event rooms and a tented outdoor event space, making us a premier destination for weddings, meetings, and special events.

We are currently seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Overnight Maintenance Technicians to join our team.


Position Summary

The Overnight Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and hotel facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by proactively addressing maintenance needs and responding to overnight service requests.

Overnight and weekend availability is required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure all systems are in proper working condition 
  • Inspect and repair electrical systems including lighting, outlets, and in-room equipment
  • Maintain HVAC units to ensure proper operation and cleanliness
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems such as toilets, sinks, and bathtubs 
  • Complete basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs 
  • Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve maintenance issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations 

Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance or engineering experience preferred, ideally in a hotel setting
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work
  • Ability to use hand tools and perform basic carpentry and maintenance tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with guests and team members 
  • Flexible schedule, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Work performed throughout the hotel, both indoors and outdoors
  • Regular use of ladders, tools, and maintenance equipment 
  • Frequent bending, climbing, lifting, and standing
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds as needed 
  • Physically active role requiring mobility and manual dexterity throughout shift
